We've had problems installing system software version 7.0.1 with a NEW
Apple Ethernet board installed in the Macintosh. Here's what happens:

1) Upon clicking the installer, we don't get the list of EtherTalk drivers,
and we have to choose customize.

2) After completing the installation, the system doesn't work with the new
board. We then use the disk that comes with the Ethernet board to
install the drivers and A/ROSE.

3) The driver from this disk doesn't work with version 7.0.1, so we must
again use the 7.0.1 disk to install the correct Ethernet driver.

Can you suggest a better way to do this?

To get the Ethernet NB card installed and working:

1) Install system software version 7.0.1.

Note: You must have the Macintosh connected to a working network before
the driver lets the user services become active.

2) Then use the disk that ships with the Ethernet NB card (version 2.5.1)
to install the Ethernet driver.

3) Restart the Macintosh.
