PowerBook: Fax Software Sends Faxes in Background

If I use my Macintosh PowerBook with the internal Fax/Data Modem and the software provided, can I send faxes in the background?
Yes. After specifying the "Send" information in the FaxSender dialog and clicking "Send", a FaxMonitor takes control and sends the fax in the background.
