MacX: Problem with Ultrix Xlib Library

I have a problem using MacX 1.1.7 and Ultrix dxcalendar. The DECwindow
client Calendar on Ultrix hangs when using the client EDIT menu. The
problem produces the error message:

Xlib: sequence lost (0x108b9 > 0x8ba) in reply type 0x1c!

This problem doesn't occur when using Calendar for the first time. Once I
make a calendar entry, I see the problem. It works fine with White Pine's
eXodus or with an NCD16 X Terminal.

Configuration:

- Macintosh IIci
- 8MB memory
- 13-inch Apple High Resolution RGB
- Built-in video card
- Ethernet Controller type 3Com Ethernet card, Revision L
- System software version 7.0
- MacX 1.1.7

This is a known bug in the Ultrix version of the Xlib library which
applications use to get access to the X protocol. It exists in Ultrix 4.0
and 4.1 and possibly later versions as well. This ISN'T a MacX bug; it
happens under similar circumstances with Sun and other 68K-based X servers.
MacX seems to have the problem more often than other servers due to the
built-in conversion of the Clipboard to Macintosh Clipboard; this
aggravates the problem.
