LaserWriter IIf and IIg: Controller Board Slot Is for Testing
I noticed that on the LaserWriter IIg controller board there is a socket
that looks like the usual processor-direct slot (not the SIMM slots). What
is it for?
This slot is used by test fixtures at the factory and Level 2 service
repair center to test the LaserWriter IIf and IIg logic boards. It is
analogous to the edge connector on the Macintosh II logic board.
