We have a Macintosh IIsi with an Ethernet NB card, and we're having <BR>
problems installing EtherTalk software from the System 7.0.1 disks.  When <BR>
we choose EtherTalk, the software appears to be installed, but it doesn't <BR>
work.<BR>
<BR>
However, when we first install System 7.0.1, and then install the EtherTalk<BR>
software from the EtherTalk 2.5.1 disk, everything works correctly.<BR>

The EtherTalk software that ships with System 7.0 and System 7.0.1 was <BR>
written prior to the introduction of the Ethernet NB board.  In this case, <BR>
the software was written with System 7.0 and carried forward to System <BR>
7.0.1, so it doesn't install an Ethernet driver for the Ethernet NB board. <BR>
It only installs a driver for the older EtherTalk NB board and the built-in<BR>
Ethernet on the Macintosh Quadras.<BR>

You can find the most current versions of Ethernet software for all of our <BR>
boards on the NSI 1.1 disk.  You can find an image of this disk in the <BR>
Software Updates folder on AppleLink.<BR>
