DAL: Protocols for NetWare SQL, Btrieve Hooks

What protocols support DAL for NetWare SQL? What pieces of NetWare, if any, must be co-resident? Are there hooks into Btrieve?
The DAL Server NLM (NetWare loadable module) supports AppleTalk via ADSP. You can connect the Macintosh to any segment of the network (LocalTalk, Ethernet, Token Ring, and Arcnet). DAL for NetWare SQL uses hosts.cl1 or DAL Preferences file with the familiar syntax:

ServerName:atalk:ServerName.AppleTalkZone

Files required for the NetWare File Server side:

NetWare v3.11 or later
Mac.NAM v3.4
BTRIEVE.NLM v6.0 or later
NWSQL.NLM v3.0 or later
APPLETLK.NLM v3.01
TLI.NLM v3.11
DALSVR.NLM v1.0

NetWare SQL uses NetWare Btrieve as its record manager. Consequently, front-end DAL applications running on the Macintosh can share files created and maintained by the thousands of Btrieve applications already on the market.
