A/UX: Can Mount and Use AppleShare Volumes (9/94)

Can I mount AppleShare volumes under A/UX? Can I then manipulate files?
If so, how does A/UX handle filenames with blanks in them?

Yes, A/UX mounts any AppleShare volume in the AppleTalk network on your
desktop. A/UX 3.0 can also do Macintosh File Sharing as in Macintosh
System 7.0. It can export any volume from your A/UX computer to be shared
in the AppleTalk network. (Note that AppleShare SERVER functionality isn't
supported under A/UX.)

The A/UX File Manager handles all files, including A/UX file systems (BSD
and System V file systems) and Macintosh HFS (Hierarchical File System)
without any problem. This, of course, includes handling file format
conversion and copy between different file systems, file permission, and
filenames with blanks. As a matter of fact, UNIX is capable of creating
filenames with blanks, for example:

% touch "This Is Mine"
