3.5" 160MB HDA: Designed for Specific Computers, Not LaserWriter

I'm trying to use an Apple 3.5-inch, 160MB HDA from a Macintosh Quadra 900
in an Apple external case with my LaserWriter IINTX.

The drive works fine when connected to a Macintosh system, but it isn't
recognized by the LaserWriter IINTX. I can successfully use another drive
with the same cables and terminator with the LaserWriter IINTX.

I am using LaserWriter Utility 7.0 to access the printer.

All drives manufactured by Apple must conform to certain specifications,
which the 3.5-inch, 160MB drive does. However, the 3.5-inch, 160MB drive
was designed and tested to work ONLY in these Macintosh models:

- Macintosh Quadra 700
- Macintosh Quadra 900
- Macintosh IIfx
- Macintosh IIci

Many times Apple Engineering, Service, and Marketing decide to ship
products in certain configurations based on availability, pricing, and
technical specifications (such as Term Power, Power Draw, and so on).
Keeping this in mind, it is important to use and/or order the correct part
for the corresponding Macintosh system. Apple drives are not to be used in
systems other than those for which they were originally intended.
